Shooting Hurricane Florence

Last week, we (the photojournalism class) were given the task of photographing ‘feature’ images based on Hurricane Florence. As this is my first time shooting spot news, there were many factors that I had to learn quick and as I look back on my images from the past week there are still many things I need to learn. I learned a lot from the assignment and I hope to do better in the future finding stories and more appealing capturing images. One main factor that I can take away from this is that to find stories I need to be closer and/ or at the scene of the event.
